Q&A

What is this?
This is a blog. The main purpose of the blog is to invite you (the world) to witness the production phase of our new documentary, Press Pause Play. We will post updates from our travels around the world, excerpts from interviews, thoughts on post production, behind the scenes material - a lot of stuff.
Press Pause Play?
We often say that it's ".. a documentary film about the change in production, distribution and consumption of creative works". What that rather liquid quote tries to state is that we are experiencing change. Not only in the Obama sense of the word, but how we produce film and music are changing on a daily basis. The same goes for how we distribute and consume these works. Our vision with PPP is to try to take a step back from this hectic/energetic/awful/wonderful/revolutionizing development and see what's really happening in the creative sphere. How will we look back at this time when we are old and grey? (you can read more under the about section)
Who are producing this?
We're a small group of Swedish filmmakers with a humble ambition to broaden our playing field a bit. Since none of us is even close to our thirties we've all in some way grown up in the middle of all of this. So in some meta sense of thinking we are all a part of the evolution we're now trying to describe.
How do you finance this gigantic project?
To be honest, we haven't financed the whole project yet. Our friends at Ericsson has helped us with a substantial contribution in making this possible (thank you!). Aside from that it's our own money and our own time.
How will it be released?
In early 2011 we are going to travel the world of film festivals showcasing our creation to anyone and everyone. Then we'll release the whole film on a pay-as-you-like-and-feel-confident-in-paying-licence. Basically this means that it doesn't matter if you're a Silvio Berlusconi, a state school or a 15 year old computer geek - you pay as much as you like and you share the film as much as you like. We want people to see it. Money is a secondary problem.
There will be more questions later on...
Cool.
